CHATGPT SETUP

Add a plugin to ChatGPT.

Choose a tool, create a personal plugin from its MCP endpoint, then try it in a Work chat.

01 / CHOOSE THE TOOL

Find added, removed, and changed rows across two spreadsheets. Download the change list.

AuthenticationNo authentication

Anonymous server initialization and tool discovery checked on 11 October 2026. This does not certify installation in the host.

Endpoint access and host installation are separate checks. Start with made-up data and review the output.

02 / CONNECT IN CHATGPT

  1. Open the plugin connection form.

In ChatGPT, open Plugins. Use the plus control to add a custom MCP server.

  2. Add the tool endpoint.

Use the tool name and the endpoint shown here. For these checked endpoints, choose No authentication. Review the permissions, then create the personal plugin.

  3. Install and select the plugin.

Find it in your personal plugins and install it. Start a new Work chat. Type @ in the prompt box and select the plugin.

  4. Try one clear request.

Paste the sample prompt. Supply the inputs it needs, then check the tool result and any generated file. A prompt alone does not attach a file.

You complete these steps in your own account. ToolRoutine does not sign in, install, or submit a connection for you.

IF THE CONNECTION DOES NOT WORK

Check the right thing first.

The option is missing.

Check your account's access and administrator settings. Follow the linked host instructions for your current interface.

The endpoint cannot connect.

Copy the full HTTPS endpoint, including /mcp. Check authentication and the remote service's status. A public URL must be reachable from the host.

A file does not reach the tool.

Check the tool's accepted input format and the host's file permissions. Use a supported data path. Do not assume a chat attachment is forwarded.

For a setup question, email support@zovo.one with the tool name, host, and a made-up example.
